Biometry

The natural lens which is in the eye plays a major role for focusing and it helps us to see our surroundings clearly. This lens can change its power and allows us to see from any distance clearly, but due to certain reasons, such as old age and diabetes, its transparency reduces and makes the vision blurry and cloudy. To correct this condition eye surgeons have to replace it with an artificial lens.

The test to measure the power of the replacing lens is called a biometry or A scan. Your eye surgeon will decide what is the most suitable lens type for you and according to that our optometrist will perform the test. We recommend that you come with a bystander and the test will take at least 30 minutes.
